You will find that the interpretation of your chart is written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological jargon. If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then you exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your life. For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability and solitude at different times.
The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on is also given. The astrological factor is given for the benefit of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.
If you find this interpretation of your birth chart interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your birth chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about the astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics
Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).
Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of life.
Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following chapters.
Your life is apt to be full of emotional extremes, turbulence, joy and sorrow, arising out of your own passionate nature and unpredictability. You are impulsive and temperamental. For you, everything is intensely personal and colored by emotion. You may have difficulty viewing a situation from a detached, impartial or rational perspective, and you have little inclination to structure and order your life. However, developing self-discipline, organization, and focus is essential. Otherwise you will be prone to tremendous moodiness, alternating between high inspiration and despondency.
At times you feel much internal pressure, for you have two strong impulses which can be in conflict with one another. The desire for independence and freedom, the need for self expression and ego recognition, and an urge to leave the past behind in order to propel yourself into new experiences may be at odds with other, equally strong needs: attachments to people and to the familiar, a compelling urge for emotional closeness and union, and a desire for security. Balancing these two drives is a significant challenge for you.
Even though your life is less even and perhaps less stable than others', most likely you would not change it, for you are very alive, sensitive, and responsive to the ever-changing, dynamic quality of life.
As you will read in the following chapter, you appear reasonable, rational, and fair. You dislike showing how emotional, temperamental, and easily affected you are. Your communication abilities help you effectively handle your strong emotions and inspirations.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
The following is a description of your basic stance towards life, the way others see you, the way you come across, the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the "The Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes the kind of person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be significant differences between them, in which case "the inner you" may not shine through and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you at a more than superficial level. This chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.
You are a natural diplomat, reasonable, tolerant, fair, always willing to listen to varying viewpoints, and ready to see the other side of an issue. Even if you strongly disagree with someone, you will try to find points of similarity and agreement rather than emphasizing the differences. You often avoid taking an extreme or one-sided stance on anything. You have a strong desire for harmonious and pleasant relationships, and express a spirit of cooperation, compromise, friendship, and fairness. You very much want to be liked and because of your need for approval and acceptance, you are easily influenced by others' opinions, especially when young. You so much want to please that often you will suppress your own intense or unpleasant feelings in order not to offend others. Sometimes your politeness is interpreted as being phony or wishy-washy.
Your need to create harmony extends to your physical environment and personal appearance as well. You appreciate beauty and have a natural sense of balance, symmetry, and proportion. You do everything in good taste, with a sense of style and art. From your home furnishings to your choice of clothing, everything must be aesthetically appealing, not simply functional or utilitarian.
You also feel that relationships are an art, one that especially interests you and one that you are usually quite skilled at, for you possess tact and acute awareness of other people. Marriage is very significant to you and finding the right person to share your life with is extremely important. Being part of a close couple seems natural to you - you are not an independent loner. Having a partner increases your self-confidence. You do have a tendency, however, to become overly dependent on your partner and perhaps not to develop a clearly defined identity outside of the relationship. Finding the balance between being yourself and blending and uniting with another is a challenge for you.
Others see you as an agreeable, smooth, harmonious, and "nice" person. Though there may be much more to you, this is the sort of face you show to the world. You possess personal charm and an understated, noncombative manner. Your motto could be "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" for you usually take a friendly, cooperative approach rather than a strong, forceful, I'm-going-to-conquer-the-world attitude.
You are extremely sensitive to all of the incoming impressions and energies around you, and at times you can be overcome or dominated by more forceful personalities. Learning to establish clear boundaries is important for you, as you tend to become enmeshed emotionally and/or psychically with whoever you are with. You may have the chameleon's trait of seeming to become the people or person you are with the most.
There is a certain intensity, charisma, or compelling attractiveness about you that may have little to do with your physical features. It's an energy, a subtle sexuality, that you emanate. Also, you tend to do everything wholeheartedly and with passion, which is quite fascinating to other people. Your instincts and psychological perceptions about others are quite incisive.
You are assertive and bold. You are willing to be the first person to speak up and make your position known, and to strike out on your own if necessary. You generally get along better with men than with women because your approach is quite direct and sometimes tactless and insensitive as well. You can be a bit too forceful. However, your boldness is your calling card, and most people feel that you can at least be trusted to be honest with them.
At times you may feel that you are all alone in the world and that other people only cause difficulties for you. Constantly bounced to and fro by others, you have a strong desire to free yourself from your stressful surroundings.
You tend to be somewhat inhibited and don't want to attract attention to yourself. You are likely to think that other people are more important than you are and prefer to live in seclusion.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
While you usually come across tactfully and diplomatically (as described in the previous chapter), you can be surprisingly blunt and direct too, especially when people get to know you on more than a superficial basis. Perhaps your gift is to say some very honest and candid things in a way that will not alienate people. Or, you may vacillate between being gracious and "telling it like it is".
You are a gambler and an adventurer at heart, one who loves to take risks, to discover and explore new worlds, and to take the untried path rather than the safe, reliable one. You are an independent soul, freedom-loving, and often very restless. You need a lifestyle that provides opportunities for travel, movement, change, and meeting new people. A steady routine which offers much in the way of security but little in the way of space and freedom is odious to you.
To you, life is a journey, an adventure, endlessly interesting and rich with possibilities, and it may be difficult for you to decide where to focus your attention and efforts. You probably traveled around and experimented with many different paths before you settled on a particular career. Or you may go from one project to the next, for once the challenge and vital interest is gone, you are very quick to move on. Commitment, discipline, focus, and concentration are not your strong points. You can be irresponsible and disinclined to take on the burdens and limitations of adult life.
An incurable optimist, you have big dreams, aspirations, and hopes for the future and are usually pursuing some distant goal. You have a great deal of faith and trust in life and failures don't crush your spirit. You always bounce back from disappointments, often with another bright dream or scheme. You have a sporting, playful attitude toward life and are philosophical about your mistakes. You have the ability to sense future trends, to see the big picture, and you like to theorize and speculate. However, attending to all of the details and practical requirements of implementing your theories is bothersome to you.
You express yourself in a very open, direct, and straightforward manner and are often blunt and tactless as well. Because you do not take yourself too seriously, you may not realize how deeply your candid statements can wound more sensitive souls. In fact, though you may not realize it, your insensitivity and lack of understanding regarding others' feelings is probably one of your worst faults.
You do enjoy friendship and camaraderie, but you need freedom also and do not do well with a possessive, clinging, or emotionally demanding partner. You are quite generous yourself, and heartily dislike pettiness in others. Someone who shares your ideals, your sense of fun, and your zest for life would be the right companion for you.
Ownership gives you a sense of security, and you have a strong attachment to your possessions. You also have a natural instinct or understanding of economics, finance, trade, and appraising the value of merchandise.
You tend to see things from your perspective only and to be rather subjective. You also enjoy talking and expressing your views but you don't always listen as well. You have a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and need constant mental stimulation and activity.
You have big aspirations and the desire to succeed in life in a grand way. You tend to exaggerate, to promise more than is possible, and to misjudge through being overly optimistic. However, you never lose your hopes for the future. Restlessness and discontent with responsibilities and limitations in life can be troublesome for you.
You have a restless and somewhat nervous manner and attract attention through your initiative and originality. You are drawn to unusual friends and acquaintances, and because of your confidence may be regarded as a leader in your sphere.
You love to entertain and like to cultivate social contacts. You enjoy forming close personal ties with others and most of them should be harmonious. You prefer teamwork rather than separate efforts to realize your goals.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities
You possess vision and foresight, and your mind is often occupied with big ideas, plans, and goals for the future. You are interested in what is possible and what is on the horizon, rather than what has already been done. The study of philosophy, religion, politics, or education is of interest to you, and you are more concerned with theories and concepts than with specific applications. You are not inclined to focus on any one practical, concrete area; you find it irksome to deal with details and particulars. You have a gambling instinct and enjoy speculative enterprises and new ventures. Business, advertising, and promotion would be good areas for you also.
Your mental skills and intelligence are directed toward practical matters, and you are interested in the tangible effects of any abstract idea or concept. You are very interested in finance, economics, and moneymaking strategies.
You have an abundance of ideas, interests, and plans for the future, and may find it difficult to focus on any particular area. You are not a specialist for you seek to get the broad overview, to see the whole picture rather than closely examining any of its component parts. Philosophy, religion, or other areas of theoretical speculation interest you.
You also possess foresight, numerous enterprising ideas, and a gambling instinct, all of which contribute to your success in the world of business. However, your optimism and grand vision can get you in trouble too; you sometimes promise more than you can deliver, gloss over important details that come back to haunt you later, and overestimate the potential of an idea or product.
Traveling is a great love of yours, especially if there is a mind-expanding or educational aspect involved, and you may travel extensively in your work. Consulting or education would be good fields for you.
Although broad-minded and interested in the philosophical or long-range implications of any plan (as mentioned earlier), your mind is clear and practical as well. Your wide-ranging ideas and interests are grounded by a sense of realism and order. At times you may seesaw between your optimism and sense of larger possibilities, and your skepticism and need for facts and tangible proof.
You have a deep, serious turn of mind, and when out of balance, you tend toward pessimism, cynicism, and overly rigid or judgmental thinking. These are tendencies you may have to work to counteract, by choosing to focus on the humor in a situation, associating with cheerful, positive-minded people, and so on. Being around children can sometimes alter and lighten up your mental outlook considerably. Duty, obligation, "should", and "ought to" may color your thinking too much.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
Tenderhearted and sympathetic to an unusual degree, you have an understanding of other people's feelings and needs which borders on being telepathic. You are extremely compassionate and cannot bear to see any fellow creature - be it human or animal -suffer. Because of your kindness and nonjudgmental attitude, people in pain or confusion are drawn to you for help, which you readily give. Sometimes your softheartedness is taken advantage of.
You are a gentle, poetic soul and have a great love and affinity for music. Because many of your feelings are nebulous and vague and you cannot easily verbalize how you experience life, music seems a natural language for you. You are also tremendously romantic and are often "in love with love".
You have strong attachments to your past, the place where you grew up, your heritage, and family traditions. In fact, you may be unable to step out of the habits and roles you learned as a child. Your tie to your mother is very strong and you also seek mothering and protection from your spouse and other family members as well.
Highly sensitive and rather easily taken in, you need to beware of deceiving yourself and allowing others to take advantage of your impressionability or gentleness. Daydreaming, fantasizing, or other forms of imaginative, escapist behavior (such as watching television excessively or living your life through romance novels) could be something of an addiction for you. You tend to confuse images with reality and need to learn to be more circumspect and discriminating. Disappointments through women and in close relationships may occur if you do not.
You enjoy emotional intensity and are attracted to the mysterious, the unknown, and to dangerous or challenging experiences which draw on all of your inner resources. You are able to handle an emotional crisis very well, and you are interested in the deep roots of emotional problems and how to cure them. You insist on bringing feelings between people out into the open, for you want real closeness and intimacy with others, without barriers or secrets.
You are easily influenced by your environment and tend to get depressed when things don't go the way you expected. Relationships are not easy for you; you could be a recluse, avoiding most contact with others.
You are definitely not one to wear your heart on your sleeve. You care very much about others' opinions and crave love and appreciation as much as anyone, but one would never know it from your reserved and seemingly detached appearance. Casual, superficial relationships don't interest you at all. You are cautious and serious about love and really desire a deep, genuine, lasting love. You are old-fashioned about courtship and love, and will remain faithful to your loved one in good times and in bad.
You may be attracted to persons older than yourself, someone who is emotionally mature and reliable and who can provide the security you desire.
Beautiful, elegant, and harmonious surroundings are very important to you, and you have an innate sense of style, design, and form. Socially, also, good form and politeness are important to you and you instinctively avoid crudeness and dissonance.
You enjoy talking about love, relationships, art and the beautiful side of life. You appreciate artistic people.
Feelings of loneliness, extreme shyness, and/or fears of rejection plague you and may well inhibit you from expressing warmth and affection in an open way. Denying yourself pleasure, comfort, and "nice things" due to feeling unworthy can also limit the joy you allow yourself. Heartache and a loss of love in your life, perhaps while quite young, will serve to either close your heart to love or to cause you to deeply cherish the friends and love you receive from others. For you it is certainly true that "true love is hard to find", but you will value it tremendously when it does come to your life.
The feeling that "there is not enough for me" may cause you to be very frugal and stingy with money as well.
You have a need to mix with people expressing the same feelings and having the same interests that you have. You share your artistic concerns with others and are likely to join groups or associations that deal with art in some way.

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
You are proud and ambitious, and you strive to excel, to stand out and be recognized for who and what you are. You have a very strong ego drive and like to be Number One. You find it difficult to take orders from others or to stay in the background, and you hate being wrong; you always insist that you are right!
You are forceful, strong, energetic, determined, and highly competitive. You play hard, you play to win, and you do not give up easily. In fact, you see life as a competitive sport or performance. You love admiration and applause, and you have a strong sense of personal honor and integrity. You tend to be very self-confident, even arrogant. Because of your belief in yourself, you are able to accomplish much, but if your confidence is ever undermined, you become self-conscious, defensive, and rather belligerent.
You are likely to be known for your drive, energy, ambition, and competitive spirit. A successful career based on your ability to take initiative, be a leader, or excel in physical strength and prowess is likely. You most definitely want to be a winner and will work hard to achieve that.
Your attunement to the intangible or unseen world is very strong. Thus, your drive and ambitions in life are apt to be colored by your subtle awareness, your mystical or intuitive sensitivity. Imagination, "make believe", creative fantasy, and the ability to visualize may be aspects of your career, also. You have the ability to "channel" healing or inspirational messages.
Often you feel like you're being pulled in two directions --what you need to do to fulfill your long-range ambitions, and what you actually feel like doing. This may make it difficult for you to be constant and consistent in pursuing goals, career aims, etc.
Relationships with women, trying to satisfy family needs, or other emotional attachments sometimes also conflict. Often you have to decide on one or another at a given time, rather than try to have both.
Your public image is important to you and you come across in a confident way. You are very ambitious, strive for material gains and aim toward wealth and possessions. You will achieve much popularity because of your harmonious and happy demeanor.
You are optimistic, have a lot of ideas, and are very fond of talking. Always ready to expand your mind, you have a zeal for learning new subjects. You may be interested in scientific fields and are likely to be very successful in your vocation.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy
Your ability to empathize and identify with others makes you unwilling to take advantage of or hurt anyone. You care about the underdog. You may also be unusually impressionable or have highly developed psychic sensitivity.
You are fun-loving and playful, and you throw yourself into your play with joyous abandon! Whatever your love or enthusiasm of the moment is, you go all out for it. You enjoy sports, recreation, or gambling, and you can be somewhat hedonistic or addicted to having a good time. Your children or your creative pursuits give you much happiness and fulfillment.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You
You fear becoming emotionally dependent upon others, and may distance yourself or deny your needs for closeness and intimacy so that you won't be vulnerable to rejection or abandonment. On the other hand, you may cling excessively or need constant reassurance from loved ones and family. Developing a deep, inner sense of security, as well as the ability to give and receive nurturing are important tasks for you.
Your attitude toward religion, philosophy, and politics is very conservative and possibly narrow or rigid. On the one hand, you may believe in nothing that is speculative or intangible, requiring proof for any idea presented to you. Each idea is thoroughly and systematically examined. On the other hand, you may tenaciously cling to your grand philosophical or metaphysical beliefs and opinions, refusing to modify them or to be open and receptive to others' insights and perspectives.
Your overall outlook on life is serious, and you may feel that life or God will punish you if you do not watch your step!
The side of you that wants and needs structure, order, stability, and a disciplined way of life is at odds with your urges for unfettered freedom, change, excitement, and discovery. There is apt to be much discontent, inner stress, and tension due to this, and at times you find it hard to relax. You may act out in a rebellious way now and then, or clamp down hard on yourself, in an attempt to strictly control your "wild" impulses. Your task is to try to find a reasonable balance between order and creative chaos in your life.
Your upbringing may have been either too demanding or somewhat lacks. You resist any attempt to restrict your freedom and have the ability to apply extraordinary efforts to overcome any inhibitions or difficulties you may have.
Because of your inner reserve and basic shyness, you appear to lack adaptability and are a bit inhibited in dealing with other people. Your approach is somewhat serious and it is difficult for you to face the public.
You dislike tense or frustrating situations and have a strong desire to free yourself from them. Acting quickly at times, you suddenly overcome your inner inhibitions. You also have the ability to grasp difficult situations correctly and to use them for your advancement.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress - a mostly unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you need to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
Your path lies in cultivating idealism and humanitarian feelings, being concerned with how your actions impact the world at large, perhaps becoming more aware of the social implications of your life style and personal choices or becoming active politically. Participating in organizations that support your ideals is one way to do this.
When under stress you are likely to become overly focused on yourself and your own little world.
Instead of "how will this benefit or hurt me?" your focus needs to shift to "how will this affect us all?".
Ideally, you need to strike a balance between doing for yourself and doing for others, by discovering how your unique gifts can contribute to the good of all.
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues is in trying to strike a balance between your inner, personal life, and your career or involvement with the world at large. Focusing attention on your home, family situations, and creating a secure inner base is the direction you need to follow.
The following are specific activities that will support you in your growth. These may or may not feel natural to you, and often there is some feeling of resistance or initial awkwardness about doing these things, but they are important on your path to wholeness.
Become more freethinking, be willing to experiment and change, loosen your attachment to tradition and the known to allow new developments to occur. Learn and get involved in an area where new techniques, rapid changes and innovation is happening. Be one of the avant-garde who is promoting such changes, whether this is in science, music, or social relationships. You have to be willing to be different and perhaps considered eccentric or odd.
You think of others before you think of yourself and are always ready to lend a helping hand. You are deeply concerned with the community which you live in, love your family and relatives and have a strong need to maintain close contact with them.

Chapter 9: Originality and ImaginationAreas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive
Your childhood or your relationship with your parents was unsettling or unstable in some way, so that you may never have felt that you had firm ground beneath your feet. One of your parents may have been unusual, eccentric, or an inconstant influence in your life. Abrupt changes in location or in family relationships may have made you feel insecure, but positively you were given more freedom and less pressure to conform to conventions, which enables you to be more of an individual and less tethered to restrictive ideas of how one "should" behave, feel, or live.
You love to dream, fantasize, and speculate. You are willing to entertain the most far fetched ideas and philosophies, since to you anything is possible.
Anything exotic, alien, or faraway holds a great attraction for you. You can have very otherworldly beliefs which are quite impractical and irrelevant to your everyday existence.
You have strong philosophical views and there are times in your life when you passionately crusade for a cause that you deem noble and of utmost importance. Although your intentions are good, you are not as objective as you think you are, and your views are more colored by personal experiences and concerns than you realize. Nevertheless, you can also be instrumental in bringing about positive change if you can avoid being dogmatic. Also, you may radically change or revise your own personal beliefs, even your most cherished convictions, many times during your life.
You are very imaginative and well inspired, but have a tendency to think that nothing can defeat you. You may take foolish risks by misleading or deceiving other people with schemes that you know to be dishonest.
Because of your emotional need to be in control and dominate others, your relationships, especially with women, may not always be harmonious. You must try to control your compulsive behavior, or you may end up in a relationship with tragic consequences.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group
In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected by the tone that is set by your generation.
The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group". In this section we will describe a deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface with great force and power, and consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group", that describes the dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The third and last topic is "What is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes areas in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive, unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.
The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological factors described in each of the three sections below.
The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group
You are part of a 25 year group of people who have strong feelings for home and country. You are a sentimental group, and feel deeply attached to your family and your country. You cling to the familiar, are distrustful and fearful of different cultures, and consequently a great deal of racial and ethnic prejudice is common among your age group.
Your need for closeness and togetherness runs very deep and causes you to bond closely to family members and old friends, and also makes you prone to be involved in mass movements and group activities because they feed your largely subconscious need for acceptance and support by others. Unfortunately, your age group is easily carried away by a group frenzy and many of you often lack the integrity or courage to think and act in an independent and rational way.
Your generation is very emotional and tenderhearted. Many of your group sacrificed a great deal to help your children or other family members, while other generations are unwilling to give as much as you have. Your tender feelings and regard for the well-being of others can spur your age group to make contributions towards the feeding of the hungry, care for the neglected, and support for the needy, particularly children and mothers. You are a group of people with a strong heart and a helpful hand. Many of you have parents and/or children who are not nearly as supportive and helpful; many of your contributions are not completely appreciated or even go unnoticed.
The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group
You are part of a 14 year group of people that have a very vivid and colorful imagination. A love of color, fashion, and drama is very strong. Your generation gave tremendous impetus and growth to Hollywood movies and other spectacular arts. Most people of your age group have many fantasies and naive, starry-eyed ideas about movie stars and other idols. Needless to say, this tendency to idolize someone can lead to big disappointments and those of you who married early in life projected your fantasies on your spouse, and had to gradually face the realities as you matured.
What is New and Different in Your Age Group
You are part of a 7 year group of people who are very bright and inventive, and contribute much to the sciences. Your age group advances technology at an even greater rate than previous generations, and you develop extremely large facilities for furthering research and development of new technologies. Increased cooperation and communication throughout the world assists you in this progress, for most of the development is made possible by large-scale cooperation rather than single individuals. Concern with barriers between governments and between members of industry (e.g. labor versus management) is very important to your age group, and tremendous effort is put into improving the relationships between these various bodies of people.
